THANK YOU to our summer workshop sponsors for supporting our scholarship efforts for the 2024-2025 year. Due to their support we will be able to offer additional opportunities to continue to development for our MARS students and professionals.

MARS Pioneer Student Scholarship Program

 

MARS is currently accepting scholarship applications for the MARS Pioneer Student Scholarship. MARS scholarships are open to all undergraduate and graduate students currently enrolled at a college/university in the state of Massachusetts.

 

This school year, MARS will be awarding the following scholarships:

 

NIRSA National Conference Attendance - April 23-26, 2025, Kissimmee, FL

Amount: $250

To be awarded to: 2 undergraduate and 2 graduate students from a Massachusetts college/university

 

Application Timeline:

Scholarship Application Date: 12/18/2024

Scholarship Deadline: 2/16/2025

Application review:  2/19/2025-2/26/2025

Scholarship Award and Notification: by 2/27/2025

 

Description: To help defer the cost of attending the NIRSA National Conference, MARS will reimburse the scholarship winner $250 after the conference.

 

To apply: Please fill out the application and send to the committee chair on application in desired application timeline.

NIRSA Region 1 Conference - October 15-17th, 2024

Atlantic City, New Jersey

Amount: $Based on Registration

 

To be awarded to: 4 students from a Massachusetts college/university.

 

Application Timeline:

Scholarship Application Date: 9/1/2025

Scholarship Deadline: 09/22/2024

Application review: 09/23/24

Scholarship Award and Notification: by 09/26/2024

 

Description: To help defer the cost of attending the NIRSA Region 1 conference, MARS will reimburse the scholarship winner after the conference.

MARS Rolling Scholarship Program

​

The Massachusetts Association of Recreational Sports (MARS) Rolling Scholarship Program has been developed to provide professionals and students with financial assistance for attending an event in relation to their profession, i.e.: NIRSA conferences, leadership schools, clinics, intramural championships, etc.

 

By design, this scholarship provides the state association with opportunities to assist those members who want to excel in their recreational and co-curricular pursuits, but need help getting to the next level.
